Create a Single-File NKM Bundle with NKM Packer

Turn the files for one karaoke song into one compact NKM bundle with advanced lossless compression.

Compression that does more than combine files

Before the final compression, the program studies the structure of the selected data and carefully prepares it for the smallest possible result. MIDI data is opened up and reorganized before it enters the compression process. In simple terms, the tool thinks through the data first, then compresses it until there is almost nothing left to reduce, while keeping the song data intact.

Step 1: Select the files for one song

Open NKM Packer and click the folder button beside Source Files.

Select the files that belong to the same song. Supported inputs are .mid, .midi, .lyr, .cur, and .kar.

After selection, the format strip highlights the file types that were found and the output format is shown as NKM.

Step 2: Choose the single-file output

Click the save button beside Output Bundle and choose where to save the result.

Give the bundle a name. The program adds the .nkm extension automatically if it is missing.

Check the Input and Output cards. Output will remain empty until compression has completed.

Do not close the app while compressing

Wait until the status shows Compression done before opening or moving the output .nkm file.
